Guggi is born in Dublin. He and his nine siblings are brought up under a strict disciplinarian, fundamentalist Christian farther and a hard-working, kind-hearted mother who nurtures his love of drawing and painting from a very early age.


He attends Lindsay Road Presbyterian National School.


He attends high school at the Blessed Oliver Plunkett Comprehensive.


Founder member of the legendary avant-garde band Virgin Prunes. The band’s uncompromising body of work and their renowned live performances, which encompass performance art, painting and post punk musical experimentations, secure them a large cult following in mainland Europe in the early 1980s


Guggi parts company with Virgin Prunes in order to concentrate on painting full-time


His first exhibition: a four-man show with Bono,Gavin Friday and Charlie Whisker at the David Hendricks Gallery on Stephen’s Green in Dublin.


Guggi’s first solo exhibition, at Kerlin Gallery.


Trip to Japan.


Guggi currently lives and works in Dublin with his wife,five sons, four dogs, and a collection of unusual reptiles
